Dressage Tests
Green Glen Farm is using the following dressage tests:
Woodside Farms is using Cadora (www.cadora.ca) dressage tests, which can be found here.
WOW classes will use the following Cadora tests:
Pick-a-test -- rider’s choice of any Cadora test
Newcomer -- Walk/Trot Test “A”
Novice -- Training Level Test “A”
Open -- Training Level Test “D”


Rules and Regulations
    •    Commonly accepted practices in each discipline will govern. Please ask show management if you have any questions.
 
    •    Adults are permitted to ride ponies, and ponies are allowed in all divisions.
 
    •    Hors Concours will be allowed at the end of every class.
 
    •    Riders are permitted to trot a couple of steps to change their lead without penalty in Novice/Beginner ring.
 
    •    In the event that a rider falls off (elimination) they must leave the ring immediately BUT will be permitted to go again at the end of the class. Must ask show management.
 
    •    With approval of horse show management and if time permitting, riders and their horses may school over the course at the end of the day for the warm-up fee. Please see show organizer for permission.
 
    •    In order to compete in any stake class, riders must have competed in at least one over fences class in same division.
 
    •    All distances will be on a 12’ stride. Riders will not be penalized for adding a stride in Novice/Beginner classes.
 
    •    All riders are responsible for showing proof of minimum, two million dollars liability insurance.  Eg:  2009 Ontario Equestrian Federation Membership, or individual household liability insurance. No other memberships necessary!
 
    •    Entries must be received with full payment the Wednesday prior to the show date.  Late entry fees may be charged at the discretion of the Horse Show organizer. Check website for Dressage times closer to show date.
 
    •    Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
 
    •    Approved Head Gear is mandatory. All riders must wear proper fitting, approved protective head gear, with the safety harness correctly secured at all times while mounted in competition or on show grounds. Approved head hear must meet the ASTM standards and displays the SEI seal. The British standard, BSI is also acceptable.
 
    •    In order for show day to run quickly and efficiently, rings will only be held for rider and horse conflicts. Rings will not be held for Coaching conflicts.
 
 
Points for Division Champion/Reserve and Year end awards will be accrued as follows:

Dressage Tests
Check WOW’s website for each individual show’s tests. WOW shows will be using www.cadora.ca or www.centaurridingschool.com tests.
 
 
Divisions and Eligibility

Beginner Rider Equitation Division
Riders in their first year of showing. Height of fences 18”. 

Intermediate Rider Equitation Division
Designed for riders in their second year of showing. Height of fences 2’. Riders may show in Novice Division.

Novice Hunter Division
Riders who have not won three firsts at any horse show (other than in house shows).  Height of fences 2’3”
To be judged as a hunter class. 

Short Stirrups Equitation Division
Children 12 years old and under.  Short stirrup riders are permitted to enter in other divisions. Height of fences 18” 

Pre-Green Hunter Division
Open to horses 5 years or younger in their first year of showing.  Height  of fences 2’.

Pick a Test
This class is open to all. Newcomer riders must choose a walk/trot test so as to not forfeit Newcomer eligibility. Please indicate on entry form which test you wish to ride.  For copies of dressage tests, go to www.cadora.ca.

Open Equitation
Open to all riders.
